Spanish Property Prices on the Rise!

The Spanish property market has been criticised for often presenting contradictory information about the price trends in the property market in Spain.

However, the last information released by the central government statistics unit reports an increase of 4% on average in residential property prices over the last year. The figures show that the third quarter of this year compared to the last few years have risen by 7.3% for brand new homes, and 3.5% for second hand homes.

Although prices are increasing in all of the regions in Spain, the price increase in majority of Spain has been less than the national average of 4%. However, the national average is boosted significantly by the 7.8% rise in Madrid, 6.6% in Catalunya and 5.4% in the Balearics, proving the weight these 3 have on the national average.
